Don’t let the WHO run Diamond Princess, Part Deux
Jessica Hockett, PhD
While it’s too soon to tell if the WHO and member countries are in the early stages of running another “global spread” scam, an alleged illness outbreak on a cruise ship in the Southern Hemisphere involving hantavirus should catch the attention of COVID analysts for its parallels to the Diamond Princess fiasco in February 2020.

As a reminder, there was no illness outbreak during the Diamond Princess’s voyage. The “first” person to test positive for the entity later named SARS-CoV-21 was a Hong Kong resident who disembarked at Hong Kong and went to the doctor three to four days later with unremarkable symptoms. After his PCR test results were reported positive, the ship was alerted, but, again, there had not been a rash of illness in the meantime. When the ship returned to Yokohama, it was held in port, and the testing charade began.
In the end, we had an indeterminate number of deaths (7-14 depending on which reports one reads and how long a timeline is set), none of which can be divorced from the iatrogenic harms exacted against the hospitalized patients. All occurred off the boat, ex post facto, at a rate comparable to what we’d expect statistically after a cruise, regardless of cause, given the number and age profile of passengers.
A similar pattern could be shaping up with the Dutch ship. The World Health Organization (WHO) held a press briefing today, helmed by Maria Van Kerkhove, a key figure during the COVID event.2
A transcript of the full briefing isn’t yet available, but even the casual listener should recognize words and concepts that were critical to launching and sustaining Operation COVID-19, such as asymptomatic, testing, close contacts, and sequencing. [UPDATE: Transcript here].
The agency is currently treating this situation as a “disease outbreak” involving a “cluster of passengers with severe respiratory illness”. Their 4 May 2026 communication about the episode can be found here. UN coverage is of course emphasizing that “human spread” can’t be ruled out.

A video by a man who says he is on the ship is a strong example of over-acting, if not crisis acting, during what should be viewed as a feigned emergency. Whatever the creator’s intentions, videos like this one effectively function as legitimizing “props” for events being presented to the public as outbreaks involving viruses.
Following reports in early March 2020 that Gene Hackman’s wife died from hantavirus, X user @mapperdan drew attention to the dramatic Hantavirus Origin Story and the ease with which scary statistics involving “new” or “emergent” viruses said to cause respiratory illness are manufactured.

Vaccines and treatments for hantavirus have been sought without success and are currently in development.3 To what extent there are pending “solutions” in need of a soon-to-be pervasive “problem” to solve is anyone’s guess.
My hope is that investors will resist the temptation to aid and abet another racket, if that’s what we’re looking at — and that the public has learned enough lessons to reject a South America/South Africa variation on the spreading-virus-from-afar storyline.
Notes
- Testing on/for the Diamond Princess passengers began before the name SARS-CoV-2 was adopted. https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/69/wr/mm6911e2.htm The virus was still being referred to as 2019-nCoV during the earliest testing of ship passengers. Systematic passenger testing appears to have begun on the same day the name SARS-CoV-2 was announced: 11 February 2020 https://id-info.jihs.go.jp/niid/en/2019-ncov-e/9417-covid-dp-fe-02.html ↩︎
- Van Kerkhove gave what can be viewed retrospectively as an early announcement about a forthcoming “pandemic” in November 2019 (below) and was heavily involved in the initial and subsequent Wuhan-based “investigations” of SARS-CoV-2 and in the naming of COVID-19. https://woodhouse76.com/2024/07/20/the-sars-cov-2-name-game-long-read/ ↩︎

UPDATE, 5 May 2026, evening (Central US)
Without committing to “tracking” the latest WHO-sponsored Adventure, I see a fear-mongering AP story out of Cape Town, posted late this afternoon. Hopefully, residents of Cape Town (especially those with a “microphone”) will speak out publicly about this charade.

The WHO has posted a new page with “key facts” about hantavirus and the “Andes virus” version. Note “renal syndrome” and see comments of Suzanne Humphries & Pierre Kory, respectively, documented here.

Even if one believes that there actually is a hantavirus outbreak on this ship (highly doubt it), this is not a virus that is transmitted human to human but rather by a rodent vector. Are there plenty of rodents on the ship? Guess that’s some good news –the ship isnt sinking:-). By the way, I never believed the story about Gene Hackman’s wife. I’m sorry for the people who fall for this, and will be furious at my physician colleagues if they engage in any fearmongering.
Even if one believes in virus outbreaks, and rodents transmitting stable, disease-causing viruses to humans, the order of events in this scenario is blantantly contrived, if not strategically set-up.
I hesitate to even give it air time, but it is instructive with respect to the COVID event.
Also, I am in no way suggesting we be afraid of what they are doing here – rather, the idea is to realize how these rackets work and what the WHO’s role is.
Wow, I had not even heard of this. Why was that guy in the video crying and hysterical? Seemed way over the top for the situation.
Reading through this gave me Covid flashbacks. I can feel my heart racing. There is no way I could go through all that again.
It is extraordinarily bad acting on his part and should be recognized as such. Show your kids or other Gen Zs. May they recognize how utterly fake it is.
At this point, I don’t think the WHO et al are doing the Pandemic Exercise again, at least not in the same way; however, people need to understand HOW they stage outbreaks…not just on cruise ships, but with myriad captive populations (including during “flu season”), i.e., in nursing homes, prisons, homeless shelters – and in poor countries run by dictators.
Next thing you know, people will need Vaccine X in order to enter South Africa. I’m seeing a very good Opportunity for the anti-mandate residents of South Africa, including podcasters, to speak up.
Here’s AP News, two hours ago: “How a deadly hantavirus outbreak unfolded on a cruise ship for weeks before it was identified” https://apnews.com/article/hantavirus-outbreak-cruise-ship-timeline-a04e0f8097d068a00fe94bf19f840240
Deadly outbreak, killing no one for weeks. Enter: quarantine and testing.
Yikes. Thanks for the heads up.
